Years ago I made a commercial for the Women in Trades Career Fair and we'd been updating the ending each year to match the dates for the annual event. But this year, as my directing skills and production quality know how have grown, I got to make a brand new commercial for Oregon Tradeswomen for broadcast television.
The images are of Director of Photography Sean Conley and the two different tradeswomen we filmed for the two 30 second pieces: Electrician Isis Harris and Carpenter Eleni Vournas. Stay tuned for new commercials coming out in April. These ladies are incredible at what they do and they'll inspire many more women.

I worked with Emerge Oregon to make a video in support of Judge Ulanda Watkins. Check it out here.
Excited to announce that I received a grant to produce my next short, Magnificent (working title). You can learn more about the project here: http://www.dawnjonesredstone.com/magnificent-short.html

After winning Best Short at Portland International Film Festival and screening in NYC, we just added two more festival dates at the San Antonio Film Festival and the BronzeLens Film Festival in Atlanta. I'm headed to my hometown of San Antonio, Texas while our producer Christian Henry is heading to Georgia! This is my favorite part of making a film: connecting with an audience. Can't wait.

I just wrapped on a series of videos for the electricians that included a 10-minute, 3-minutes and social media clips from about four days of shooting out on the jobsites. They wanted to show a variety of work tasks and types of electricians, and make it exciting to promote the program. Here's one of the social media clips. This was a "one woman band" project that I strategized with them on, shot, and edited. Really fun for me!
